Based on discussions with ISD, the request was to open this alteration permit to support the non-Structural Demo work that needs to occur prior to the abatement work and demo permit approval. Consistent with the memo and description of work provided with the demo permit application 1204271, this alteration permit shall serve to support the following scope of work while we wait for the Demo permit to be approved....Establish site fence and safe perimeterDecommissioning labsClear the building of all loose materials, furniture, equipment, and chemicalsMake-safe all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection infrastructure. Implement the NFPA 241 plan that includes a temporary Fire Alarm System and temporary fire protection risers.Non-Structural Demo that is required to obtain access to areas requiring abatement.Removal and salvage of materials and equipment that MIT desires to save for future use.
